Lu’s 2022 Vision Board

The year of becoming? growth? focus? intentionality? bliss?

You see, the hardest part when choosing a theme for the year is selecting one that aligns with all of your goals for the year. Trust me, I have a lot of goals(when you break them down into not so tiny pieces).

Though it was a terrible year, in 2021, I was able to find and know myself a lot better. I got to understand my personality, my moods, my mental health, gain self-control, find new interests, and understand other people better too.

Now, it’s time to work towards achieving what I’ve been deprived of in 2021, and the years before it; happiness.

My goals for the new year have been built around my happiness. The things that I’m sure I would be happy doing in my career, spiritual life, school, financially, physical and mental health, even my relationships and friendships.

For the sake of my sanity, this year, rather than make a list of things I want to achieve throughout the year, I’ve chosen to take it bit by bit, quarter by quarter.

My first quarter of the year(the only quarter I’ve planned for) is focused on my personal development. There’s so much to learn, relearn and unlearn; Improving my skills as a designer, writer, and developer. Two goals that I look forward to are starting my weekly talk sessions with new designers and my YouTube channel.

Sometime in November 2021, a designer reached out to me with specific questions she had to ask, so we set up a call. I enjoyed being helpful, and able to answer her questions. I decided to make it a thing this year to help new designers, starting with talk sessions.

As for my YouTube channel, after 3+ years of postponing, I think I’m finally ready to conquer my fears, get started, and take it seriously. So, subscribe when it’s out. Please🥺?

My family, friends, and relationships are not left out. In 2021, it helped that I did not fight my battles alone. Now that I’m in a better place, I look forward to spending more happy time with my best friend, family & friends, and lover.

There’s so much to be done. I look forward to putting in efforts, achieving all of these and more, while enjoying myself and having fun. It’s not much, but creating my vision board, and setting up my journals feels like I’ve given myself a head start.

Though 1st Jan 2022 seems like any other day, remember it’s also the start of 365 new chances. Enjoy it as it comes. For me, I think it’s going to be a year of bliss. How about you?
